John T. Mansor, Jr.

Interior Decorator Scam Artist

White Plains, New York, 10601

John Mansor was hired to redecorate my living room. For 8 days he kept promising to do the work to redecorate. Instead my apartment is torn apart, boxes moved everywhere, there was no plan executed, I spent a great deal of money for labor, services, and for new furniture and accessories that all sales had to be cancelled because the space wasn't cleared of the old items and space was not made in time for the new items to be delivered, and nothing got done, or what was started never got finished. Phones, internet, fax, TV, printer, copier were all disconnected without my knowledge, and when it was discovered, John denied he was responsible for anything that happened, saying it was my responsibility to check this and reconnect it. He admitted to me that he couldn't read or write and didn't follow directions, only his 'instincts'. He did not respect me at all as his clients, and didn't listen at all to what I wanted to be done to redecorate my living room and home office. He said he was once a millionaire in his own decorating Kitchen and Bath business. His work for me was a complete disaster, and I have to incur more costs and hire new contractors and decorators to do the work and to repair the damages he did in my apartment (such as scratch the hardwood floors dragging metal cabinets across two rooms, and damages in the building of the new white cabinet).

John Mansor is my interior designer and my contractor. I find him to be both a man of talent and integrity. Before each project we have come to an agreed list of work needed with a firm budget. Every time he has delivered great work on time and on budget. What's more I trust John and know him to be a man of his word. I would recommend John wholeheartedly to anyone that needs help with interior design or construction projects.
My name is John Mansor. I am the subject of these false accusations. I want to set the record straight.

The accuser is a woman who lives in my apartment building. She asked me to look at her apartment and make several design changes. The apartment was packed with furniture, file cabinets and file boxes. She had moved her home and her office into a one bedroom apartment. At the time she had purchased a piece of furniture from an office furniture company to put into her apartment. After measuring the piece of furniture she purchased for $7000 I discovered that it would not even fit into her 4th floor apartment. I advised her to cancel the order which she did I then made an agreement that this job was a time and material job. After proposing several potential floor plans we decided upon one. We then spent all day shopping at Bob's Discount Furniture where she placed an extensive order for furniture, rugs, lamps and accessories. We also spent half a day at Home Depot planning a home office. She placed an order there as well for custom cabinetry.

A few days later I found out she canceled both orders and then asked me for a refund to what she had paid me for my time. When I reminded her of our original agreement she still demanded the money back. Later I found out she had posted this complaint. When I asked her to petition the website owner to remove the posting she claimed that in order to do that I had to work 40 free hours for her. She claimed the webmaster told her that. That is absurd.

I want anyone reading this complaint to know that it is unfair and untrue and they can contact me directly at jmansor1@verizon.net. I've been in business for 33 years this is the only complaint ever posted against me.
