Donald Platten has been sentenced to nearly 22 years behind bars for his role in a securities and tax fraud scheme. Platten’s company issued more than $1 million in stock to his wife, sister, ex-sister-in-law and limousine driver Eli Goldshor, supposedly as repayment of promissory notes, even though Platten knew the promissory notes were fraudulent and the company did not owe these individuals the money reflected on the promissory note
